You know that I'll bleed for you.

Backing out, giving up, no motherfucking slave to this.
Never lied, never left, never lived, never loved.
Never lost, never hurt, never worry about being me or anyone else.
Not a care, no concern. Don't give a shit about anything!

To hear Chad Grey drop that whole verse in less then 13 seconds is fuckin' br00tal

So today signaled the end of exams, I guess we'll see how successful I was tomorrow and the next day. Results are scary.

Ballin against Keslan tommorow, be good fun. But it's at Lennon Hall... so probably play shit and the whole team will have their weekly minge*.

Fuck the fonts are hard to keep on top of, anyway. JC-Superstar copy-pasta-ing shit into here fucks it up. Anyway, I'm off to read about 24bit vs. 16bit audio.

haha
No school is fucking awesome.

And I'll leave you with the most important image you'll see in the next hour:

Do you pull me up just to push me down again?

Please me, deliver the insane
In the chaos I find peace

Please me, remind the gods of my name
I believe there is one seat left for me

And that be Matt's lyric of the day from Minus by In Flames off the album
Reroute to Remain. Why? It's a good few lines of thinking, metal is thinking music after all.

Last two exams tommorow, Chem and PE. Lame. Oh well, 1/8th of my last two
years of secondary schooling down. Hoo-rah!

Hey, rhetorical question for most. Does learn to swim continue through terms 2+3, I fucking hope so. Or my m00lah pl4nz go out the door.

Wow, 'A Sense of Purpose' is really working the drivers in my Q40s. Could just be FB2Ks EQ, who cares right? Holy-keen for a SOHAII to really drive these fuckers, omg.. delicious.

Ohhh, BTW! Changed over to
Emerge last night.

It's so purdy and functional and 1337. I'm really, really, really, really, really tempted to do a clean install on a new partition of a really light XP and then start running Emerge again. But then I can kiss goodbye my $300 2 year extendo-warranty. Nevertheless, it's awesome.

On hollies imma clean alot of shit off this comp and keep it to bare minimum of each type of program. For example: one audio editing program, one video editing program, one or two games. And then back up music again, and then move un-needed videos over to an external HD yo. Which reminds me I should get me an external enclosure for me 750gb drive. Yummo, conveiniant!

Oooo Parkway Drive is on, man I want their albums to rip to flac. Julia might have them... Julia, let me know if you do haha.
Fuck their breakdowns are brutal, Adam D done an awesome job engineering this shit to give some impact! The 40mm drivers are getting muddy in the first breakdown in Sirens' Song, The.

=]

Zomg, the fonts totally went crazy haha sorry about that.

GANSTA RAP MADE ME DO IT

I know what I want to buy and when, I know what I want to do and when, I know where I want to go and when. For example, I'll be in Germany for Pentecost weekend 2011. My next headphone upgrade will be around 2012 and I'll be living around Byron Bay.
The next big purchase I'll make will either be a SOHAII or an EMU 0404 USB.
My next laptop will more then likely be a Macbook pro.

I can back all the above up with logic so that makes me feel good about my future, as xenophobic as that sounds.

Brb, netball.

Back, we lost. Oh well, still a good game.
Chuck got biffed like a gazillion times, so did Sarah.
Some Kiwi thought he was buff because he out rebounded me once, what was he like 25/100kg/190cm. Must be awesome to outjump a skinny white 16yr old once or twice. :p

Slack for chem study, probably just listen to music. =]

Anyway I'm out.

Hybiscus Pool Services Inc.

So Benedict, pus and I doll up for our english speech tommorow. It'll be good fun.

Plus I got my OCC sweatbands today, keen to sweat em out.

Had today off school; combo of back pain and headache done it. I don't know what the hell I done to my back, headaches are regular occurrences unfortunately.

Tomorrow is going to be hectic, Modern History, PE and English. English assessment, then finished for the term which is good. Badminton which is good fun and Modern History is cake.

Lucy Dixon is fuckin' wizard!

Anyway, I'm keen for catching up with Blacky on the hols. I'm totally gonna wear my Bullets jersey the whole time.

Uhhmm, in other news. I found what I'm going to do after high school.
Link.

I'll post about it more later, but for now I'll leave you with a picture of my latest purchases.

and park on driveways?

"Perhaps Head-Fi could have a similar contest, such as "Hold a Hornet for a Hornet" Whomever holds it longest wins." - Vicomte

Big rofls.

Netball was good today, we came from behind to win. The other team was pretty cool, except they we're a bit sour. Which is understandable, after losing to a bunch of basketballers and teenagers.

Ben's last night was pretty classic, good times.

I've decided I'm not going to worry about the Compass, it wouldn't put my parents in a good mindset. Them thinking as soon as I get enough spending money I buy something expensive with it.

I've settled on three large purchases in the next year ish:
1. Emu 0404
2. SOHAII
3. Nikon D40x
Aswell as a ~$140 purchase of some cable stuff + Mini3 kit.

Ben's place was awesome because I got his Bantam and Pengamp working, and most importantly he could hear the difference between Lossy&iTunes combo, Lossless&FB2K combo and Lossless+FB2K+Pengamp+Bantam.
I also borrowed some CDs to rip to flac:
  • Tool: Aenima and Lateralus
  • All That Remains: Fall of Ideals
  • Opeth: Deliverance
  • Lamb of God: Wrath
  • Muse: Black Holes and Revelations and Absolution
My FLAC collection is growing deliciously.

14.00gb of FLAC, it's honeslty scrumptious.

I don't have much else to say, I'm gonna watch Rove tonight just for Brownie and my computer is laggin hard because I'm doing alot of shit while also blogging.

I leave you with utter coolness:

Why do we drive on parkways?

Hectic. A brilliant word to describe my next three days.

Tommorow I have to wake up normal time, don my normal uniform and get to Cairns Base Hospital for a careers info day. CBF to write about it.

That finishes at like 3, I then walk to my mothers school, then drive to my school, teach children life skillz for 1.5hours.
I might then come home, or I might stay in town, because I have to play basketball tomorrow night. Which'll be fun. =]

Then I'll come home, possibly for the 2nd time and finish off my chemistry assignment ready for Thursday, do some study for maths and Modern History then sleep.

Thursday and Friday will consist of Chemistry in class essay, Maths B failure, English rehersals, Film fun-ness, PE's general physical education-ness and a Modern History test [read: joke].

Weekend will then be more english rehersal, maths b futility and chilling. Netball on sunday is something to look forward to.

Well what a shit blog. Gay, gay, gay. I hate it.

Here's some candy to stem the flow of pissed-ness:
[Click for big, actually click... well worth it!]
A Ferrari built β22 [w/ σ22 psu], pure beauty. I'd rather one of these then having then alot of things in life, specifically a beast built by Ferrari. I'd gladly buy one of these badboys in-lieu of a car, pity I don't have the money for either.

The Ambiguous Case of Sine

So, while it could possibly be the first time in my life I'm enjoying Maths. There is a very real chance that I might go shit this term. Maths B represents the biggest step up from grade 10 education for me, and as much as I'm genuinely trying this term it seems to be getting past me.

But I'm determined to stick it out, for Maths B atleast.

Chemistry on the other hand: goooooooone.

I hopefully won't need it later in life and more importantly I don't want to need it later in life. (If that makes any sense.)

I might take up tech studies and build the prescribed shit next semester then invest some money and get all DIY on speakers.

In actual fact I have had my eyes on LSK's shit for a while now, although they are completley out of my price range. Let us say for interest purposes that I had the moolah:
1. They are a kit, don't require any planning outside of getting them shipped and 'finishing' them.
2. I'd need an amp. [which equals more of the moo']
3. With a quality kit like that I'd want a good source. [mo-ore moolah]
4. I really don't have a listening space to do the beauties justice.

Now, I hear you say. DIY speakers, why bother and why do you care so much.
Just take a look at this pr0n:

All made from a DIY kit, at a fraction of the cost [still more then I can afford] of regular store bought speakers + these things sound like heaven. Also as so often documented within DIY rings, there is nothing more rewarding then the fruits of your labour.

So back on to my education, I think if I do change to tech studies I'll end up doing something in the vain of the above hotness.
  • Buy all the cones, tweeters, horns and whatnot needed to make noise
  • Create some spankin' enclosures
  • Finish them well; acoustically, as well as, aesthetically.
  • Find something capable of amping them, which well could end up being a DIY creation aswell. [Read AMB or Cavalli] (Bee-tee-dubyou: I want a SOHA II)
Will any of the above happen, probs not.
But I enjoy writing this shit.

Yawoo.

Power

The human condition is inherit claustrophobia.
Compression of my space made complete.
I would rip out my own entrails by hand just to be alone.
Inanity rolls total through this sphere.
Ostracized for clarity of vision.
A dream unrealized of solitude that I should descend into autonomy
& know the pain of fellowship no more. I feel nothing but a lack of space.
Paradox of socialization results in duress.
Rife with hostility, what has caused me so much hate?
Humanity. Exterminate with extreme prejudice.

Netball

Fuckkkkk, what's the use of the auto-save shit if it doesn't work?

oh well.

I just got home from netball and I'm wrecked. But it was really fun.

Spent most of the morning doing chemistry, it's slack. I hate it, hopefully I can get a nice B- or thereabouts.

Off-topic, I want an ALO Audio Mini3 and an Audio-GD Compass and an EMU 0404 USB and a camera. Fuck, I want moneeeeeeey.

Careers and quality.

Ok, so I've already posted today but... fuck it, it's my blog.

3 months ago, I was almost 100% sure that I wanted to goto university (after gap year, of course) and do Pharmacy. However, on return to grade 11 I've revoked my standing. Which leaves something to do with audio.
And why wouldn't I do something to do with audio? I love music, I love how it works, why it works, why people do it and one of the most important things to me is representing that sound, that noise if you will; in the best way possible.

I honestly could not think of anything better to do then to engineer a composition that gets a message across, and to master that so that no quality, no meaning, no 'heart' is lost within the process.

Give me some reference quality monitors, a couple of beasty LCD displays, Pro-Tools, a mixing desk longer then I am high and more pre-amps/amps/DACs then I could poke a stick at and I'll probably never complain again.

Hoo-wee, what could be better then a career where I get to listen to music, help create music, I can justify buying pre-amps/amps/DAC/headphones/monitors/cables with price tags that would make Richard Branson squemish.
What's that you say: 'How much can a bloody cable be?'
Iiiiintroducing the Virtual Dynamics Genisis 1.1 Power Cable, retailing at a mere US$13,416.00

Translating to roughly TWENTY THOUSAND AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS for a 5foot long power cable, a power cable that does the same job as the one that connects your computer to the wall.

BTW, here's some candy-
So ultimately, this blog was to convince me to pursue some sort of career within the Audio path.
Rewarding work, I get the toys I want, I get to enjoy music.

Do you reckon Berkley gives out Basketball scholarships to Aussies?

First

Well, I finally took the plunge.
Mattcalf now has a blog.

Today could be good, I plan to do some chemistry and then go see Watchmen with Nakita. Which is meant to be one of the most visually spectacular films of late.

Learn to swim was good this morning, easy because only one girl rocked up.

What's kosher with this bloggin thing, should I limit myself to one a day?
See how it goes.
